Drone Light Show Lights Up Kuala Lumpur Skyline for adidas Malaysia’s FIFA World Cup 2026 “Home of World Cup” Campaign

Adidas Malaysia kicked off its highly anticipated Home of World Cup campaign with a spectacular large-scale synchronized drone light show, illuminating the night sky of central Kuala Lumpur on 23rd and 24th May.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Merdeka 118 and historic Stadium Merdeka, hundreds of intelligent drones performed a seamless aerial storytelling performance, attracting thousands of spectators across the city.
The choreographed aerial sequence brought football creativity to life above the Malaysian capital. The dynamic formations featured adidas’ iconic Three Stripes logo, the Trionda – official match ball of FIFA World Cup 2026, national team jersey silhouettes, football athlete figures and animated match visuals, delivering a vivid preview of global football excitement ahead of the tournament.
The sky spectacle serves as the grand launch of adidas Malaysia’s nationwide football campaign. Following the drone show, the brand rolled out a series of immersive fan roadshows:
  • Pavilion Kuala Lumpur: 26 May – 3 June
  • The Exchange TRX: 8 June – 14 June
The offline pop-up zones offered football merchandise showcases, interactive fan activities and exclusive experiences, bridging aerial creativity with ground-level community engagement.
This landmark drone production stands as one of Southeast Asia’s most eye-catching brand aerial activations this year. It demonstrates how drone swarm technology has become a premium outdoor media solution for top international brands, capable of combining landmark cityscapes, brand storytelling and viral social media content.
The performance quickly gained massive traction across Instagram, TikTok and local Malaysian social platforms, generating widespread organic sharing and conversations among sports fans, content creators and the general public.
